Karen Dwyer Reid has more than 35 years experience in business management, manufacturing and marketing including operating a home based advertising and marketing company. She was an experienced trainer in self-employment, business start-up, marketing and promotions and has 3 international design awards to her credit.

Karen was involved with an International Student Work Program for 17 years and supervised more than 80 Wider Horizons Groups from Ireland. Working closely with host families and host employers in the Cambridge, Kitchener Waterloo & Guelph areas, Karen has assisted more than 1800 young people develop a new career path or promote their existing career by participating in an internship work program in Canada. When the program ended, Karen chose to pursue a career in Real Estate having had some experience in buying, renovating and flipping residential properties with her husband.

Karen was born in Bell Island, Newfoundland and moved with her family to Galt at the age of 4.
She had resided most of her life in the North Galt area of Cambridge and currently lives there with her husband Dougal.
