On Friday, October 16th, Royal LePage Crown Realty Services was thrilled to bring back our annual Euchre-Rama fundraising event in support of youth shelter services and the food bank in Cambridge, Ontario.
Originally established over two decades ago, the tournament was placed on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic. Brought back by popular demand this year, we welcomed over 80 guests for an evening of cards, snacks, and entertainment.Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we raised nearly $4,500 for Argus Residence for Youth. We recognize that youth experiencing homelessness are often victims of abuse, and we are proud to stand behind the vital work Argus does every day in our community.
Supporting Innovative Solutions for Youth
Argus recently launched Waterloo Region’s first Foyer—a semi-independent transitional shelter for working youth at risk of homelessness and students enrolled in full-time education. During their stay, residents can focus on their studies or work toward saving up to $10,000 for long-term stability, free from the daily struggle of survival.Additionally, Argus supports the First Connect team, which focuses on homelessness prevention and shelter diversion. First Connect works directly with youth to problem-solve housing barriers, reconnect with safe support networks, and navigate community resources for both short- and long-term stability.
